Skill club:Indian art

Hello everyone

I am often asked by friends, family, and parents, why I have chosen to work with children.

When I get asked this question, my immediate thought is: why wouldn’t I like to work with kids?!

I love it! There are thousands of reasons why I think helping children and their families is the best job in the world.

Art strengthens the problem solving and
critical thinking skills.. The experience of making decision and choices in the course of creating art carriers over into other parts of life.

If they are exploring and thinking and experimenting and trying new ideas, then creativity has a chance to blossom.

I taught warli a heritage art of India to the children they prepared beautiful greeting cards and eco friendly bags.

Many of motions involved in making art, such as holding brush, scribbling with colours are essential to the growth of motor skills in children.

Stay creative stay tuned…

Flow of CHI..!!

Hi friends

My today’s art work is inspired by Bhuddhism.

Lord Buddha paintings are always considered as a symbol of bills, prosperity, and wealth. According to Feng Shui and Vastu, keeping paintings of Lord Buddha increase the flow of Chi and bring prosperity and great fortune.

I am a woman

Hi friends

My today’s art work is dedicated to women found few good lines about women sharing with all of you .

I am a woman of many talents, and the guardian of my children.
I have the strength of my God, to lead me through whatever Life has in store for me.
I shall look ahead, rather than be pulled back to past sorrows or mistakes, for only by moving forward can I begin anew. I will pray for those I love, that my love may be their blessings, that my prayers will be their strength.
I will love myself, because my Father in heaven loves me even more.
I will sleep peaceful, knowing I have done my best, and no longer burden myself with thoughts of unworthiness, or worry about what other people think…because all that matters is my family.

Up cycling furniture waste

Hello everyone here I am with my new idea of up cycling the waste .
Up cycling is another word for recycling in which leftovers from making an item are used to make other useful byproducts that creates environmental value.
I have made acrylic paintings on waste ply boards..

creative products will help to save money and trees while protecting the environment from garbage. Up cycling trash requires creativity and ability to spot the diamond among stones that can help to create a piece of timeless jewelry.

Heritage Art Form of India: Madhubani

Madhubani, or Mithila, painting is a folk painting of northern India. It is mostly practiced by women in the villages who have passed this art to their daughters through multiple generations. They paint pictures of nature and mythology to depict different events like birth, marriage, and cycles of life.

The history of Madhubani paintings

A 2500-year-old folk art, the history of Madhubani paintings is said to date back to the time of Ramayana, when king Janaka asked an artist to capture his daughter Sita’s wedding to prince Rama. These paintings were usually created by women on walls and floors of homes during festivals, ceremonies or special occasions. Having originated in the Mithila region in Bihar, this form of painting, also known as Mithila art, has been in practice in areas around Bihar and Nepal.

What makes so special to Madhubani?

Madhubani paintings are done using fingers and twigs as well as matchsticks and pen nibs in the modern day. Usually bright colours are used in these paintings. Borders embellished with geometric and floral patterns. Natural dyes are used for the paintings.

Here is the small tutorial for Madhubani Painting… A Madhubani Bird

Step 1: Trace the design on paper

Step 2: Make a small border for the design as i have made for this bird.

Step 3: fill the border with any geometrical pattern i used small lines you can choose circles ,triangles and any others of your choice.

Step 3: Fill bright colors and finish .I have used colored pencil same can be done with water colors.

Madhubani remains ever popular on the home decor front in the form of prints for table linens, napkin rings, and lamps and most importantly on wall hangings. Mostly because Mithila art was originally used for decorating walls and floors of homes.

I am here to make lives a bit richer by paying tribute to my nation’s heritage and authentic Madhubani art.

Modern Art Gallery

Hello today i am back with some modern art paintings which i have captured through my mobile cam in the evening while visit to a multiplex in Chennai city . This multiplex has a small modern art gallery (still under renovation) with unknown artist .Found it worthy and beautiful to share among the people through my blog.

Modern art represents an evolving set of ideas among a number of painters, sculptors, writers, and performers who – both individually and collectively – sought new approaches to art making.

Art cannot be modern. Art is primordially eternal.”

Egon Schiele

We can see the geometrical shapes in these modern paintings.

An artist’s selection of artworks illustrated below have been chosen because they all use shape in an inspirational manner.

quares and Rectangles : can portray strength and stability
Circles and Ellipses : can represent continuous movement
Triangles : can lead the eye in an upward movement
Inverted Triangles : can create a sense of imbalance and tension.

whatever an artist creates that reflects artist’s life’s journey and the spirit of artist’s soul.
