Bliss of Krishna Janmashtami

I am back with my new water color art work which is dedicated to lord Krishna . As we know Krishna Janmashtami is falling on coming Sunday so lets celebrate the bliss of Krishna Ashtami.

The mind acts like an enemy for those who do not control it.
                                                                                       ~ Bhagavad Gita

In 3228 BCE in Mathura, India, a child was born who was destined to reshape the spiritual and temporal destiny of mankind—Sri Krishna. In his 125 years of life, Sri Krishna made an indelible impression upon mankind’s collective consciousness—re-educating the world about devotion and dharma as well as the ultimate reality. His life was a model for people in days past, the modern world and surely for those in ages to come.

The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind .

As a human being puts on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones

Happy Krishna Janmashtami to everyone..!! Stay tuned……..!!

Introduction: My Art Background How i got into Drawing

I am a self-taught artist. I didn’t attend a fancy art school. I can’t drop names of influential artist mentors who helped shape my vision
I wasn’t following a curriculum, or being told exactly what to study.
I actually started out painting entirely through trial and error, without even reading a book. I just bought some painting materials and dived into it.

You will never find time for anything. If you want time, you must make it. ~ Charles Buxton

From Childhood itself I started enjoying it and used to spend at least 2-3 hours into this.Even though i am Master of Computer Science and spend 5 years to serve IT industry as a Software Engineer then i quit due to few family responsibilities and challenges.

But I still follow my passion.Below are the few Paintings i am sharing which i have made by using simple student water colors.

In the below painting i have tried to define shades of green in bamboo leaves

Bamboo paintings are known as lucky charm, People in china and even now in India use to decorate their living room with these paintings, It brings good luck and happiness in their life.

I’d love to hear from other self-taught artists. Let me know in the comments what resources and motivations  you used to ‘teach yourself’.
